Interior Design (interiordesign.net), the global, industry-leading design publication, website, and events brand serving the interior design and architecture community, has announced the honorees of its 2022 Hall of Fame Awards. After a two-year pause during the COVID pandemic, Interior Design’s Hall of Fame Awards returns this December 7, 2022, with a new location and an illustrious group of inductees.

Selected by Editor in Chief, Cindy Allen, and a nominating committee of previous Hall of Fame members, this year’s inductees are Yves BĂ©har, Founder and Chief Designer of fuseproject; Mavis Wiggins, Managing Executive, Studio Creative Director of TPG Architecture; Will Meyer and Gray Davis, Founders of Meyer Davis; and a special award to artist and activist, Claudy Jongstra.

“Being back live and in person after a two-year COVID hiatus adds so much meaning to the evening, as this community really loves being together and being inspired by one another” said Allen. “And these extraordinary honorees represent the expansiveness of our industry, including residential, office, hospitality, industrial design, product, and art. The full spectrum of design–that solves problems, touches humanity, and changes the world.”

Hosted by Allen, the most anticipated event in the design industry has a new location in 2022 and will take place at The Glasshouse in New York City. Located at 660 12th Avenue in New York City, the Kossar & Garry Architects and Thomas Juul-Hansen-designed venue offers breathtaking views and cutting-edge technology.

In 2001, Jongstra established her studio in Friesland, a rural northern province of The Netherlands, where she also developed a biodynamic farm at De Kreake in HĂșns with partner Claudia Busson, cultivating dyers plants and collecting generic seed for future propagation. Jongstra sources wool, her primary artistic medium, from a local flock of rare, indigenous Drenthe Heath sheep. This radical soil-to-soil philosophy, no-waste approach, and inclusive way of collaborating creates a vibrant, community-based and completely sustainable process culminating in Jongstra’s charismatic artworks.

An unparalleled group of designers, architects, manufacturers, and design luminaries will gather to honor the new inductees at this black-tie celebration. Inspirational documentaries on the work and legacy of each of the inductees will be premiered at the Hall of Fame, and later on DesignTV by SANDOW.

A portion of proceeds from the Hall of Fame event will benefit Americares and The Thorn Tree Project. Tables and tickets can be purchased through Laury Kissane at (773) 791-1976 or lkissane@sandowdesign.com and more information can be found here.
